Mandala's
Mandala's are a representation of spirit captured in various shapes, colours, forms and sizes. Most Mandala's are traditionally represented as a circle  containing  a shape and form. Each shape and colour  is reminiscent of energies that are contained within your being which corresponds to you on a soul level. This activates through you on a subconscious level  reminding you of your connection with these energies.  Reminding you of times gone by, lifetimes where you worked with  the divine, and the power of Spirit.  Here you knew the language of god and accessed the temples of God through living many lifetimes in the different religions and cultures than
we know of today.
Mandala's are colourful, wonderful and visually inspiring and the energies that they contain are very soothing and enlightening. Masculine energies are  drawn as straight lines, squares, zigzags etc and feminine energies are more curving and flowing such as circles, spirals, arches etc. Mandala's can be found all over the world, in all cultures and religions. This is just an expression of connection to the divine, the flowing harmonious, uplifting energies of God.
 Mandala's are just one expression of many, of how these religious and cultural groups expressed how much love and faith they have in God. Other expressions of  the divine can be found in Sculpture, Painting, Watercolours, Multimedia, Body Art, Music and Writing which is in  all cultures and religions even today.  Some religions such as Islam prefer to use patterns (sacred geometry) rather than actual figurative representations which are deemed inappropriate in the religion. Here repeat patterns are used especially in calligraphy and heavy patterned
and stylised illustrations.
